"Great old pub with flawless meals. Eaten there about 10 times (all for lunch) so it wasn't a one off! Good stuff!"
"Very welcoming. True Aussie atmosphere. Food was fantastic. Could not fault."
"Went here for lunch and to see The Whitlems play. We were greeted at the door to show our tickets by a very friendly person telling us all we needed to know and to offer us a large black plastic bag to use as a poncho as it was pouring rain and the concert was outside. We ate lunch which was very nice, calamari and a parmy both with chips and salad. We continued on outside and saw all the tables with large umbrellas. We chose a table where we put the plastic bags on the benches as they were wet, we had raincoats on as they had sent out many informative emails to let us know the performance would go ahead rain, hail or shine. Staff were great, the venue fantastic and the band were fantastic....we will definitely return as they have a very good line up of performances booked. Despite the rain which did eventually stop we had a great time."
"Excellent hotel food was lovely, parking can be a challenge, im definitely going back there as often as I can , didn't stay there only called in for lunch"
"Just had a meal at The Royal Hotel in Meredith VIC, Tuesday is $20 parmi night, I had the Mexican chicken parmi, and my friend had the hook and chook beef parmi, they were both absolutely delicious and extremely generous, with out a doubt the best and unbelievably the cheapest pub meal we have ever eaten. What a wonderful place, and the staff were fabulous. I highly recommend everyone should treat themselves to this wonderful place, it’s well worth the drive."
"After a long ride along GOR and heading home to Ballaratr, lights were on at the Royal Hotel. Just a pot and to sit in the corner out of the way and then I would be on my way. I thought I snuck in unnoticed (and that was my intention, did not want to intrude) but the awesome person behind the bar in a black Balter T-shirt clearly had radar. It was almost if I was one of the locals and as such we had a conversation about how busy it had been today. Was a bit of a lift of the spirit. So I got my pot and sat in the corner out of the way of a flood of ppl who were clearly part of this lovely community and this was their place I'm used to ducking eye contact but whenever I failed, all I saw were smiles. And to top it off, kids with colouriung in books and clear relationships with the team behind the bar (including a little counselling about messing with the ATM machine!) I just ... wanted a quiet pot and to move on once I was rested. Instead I was welcomed into an entire community I live nearby where I live. I'm so glad I got tired and decided to have a quiet few minues at this place. Have been here many timnes before anonymously but tonight was different. I hope it will be OK to bring my family down (including my grandson) for an early dinner and a lesson for him hopefully about what regional welcoming communities are all about. (And also watching for the next session about smoking local meat produce! ) Thank you for being so welcoming and inclusive. It meant a lot."
"Thankyou for a great Sunday afternoon for us celebrating my daughters 17th birthday. With great hosts/staff and excellent food and service on a very busy day, you all really looked after all thirteen of us. Cheers, Jeremy."
"We spent the whole afternoon at this gorgeous country Pub. They hold several music days per year and this was there 80’s era with Brian mannix and several other awesome artists. Lunch was excellent, location was outside open air( just magic) Cannot wait to come back again. The owners of the Pub are just the coolest people who know how to host this 80’s music festival."
